Lawrence Friedman
Larry is married to his best friend and wife Michelle and together have 7 kids. Matthew, Ian, Tianna, Dylan, Christopher, Harley and Nikko. They also love their two dogs Zoie and Natsha.
 
Larry graduated from The Ohio state University with a BS in Business Administration in 1980.  After that he started his career as a floor trader at The Chicago Board of Trade where he traded bonds during the volatile markets of the 80’s.
 
In 2001 he came to The New York Life, and quickly became educated in most of what NYL had to offer. He started using The LEAP process of wealth management, completed the Coaching Series used with high net worth individuals and held affiliation with Eagle Strategies(a registered investment firm) as well as the exclusive Nautilus Group dealing with business succession and estate planning.
 
In the summer of 09 as he was earning another Presidents Council award he decided to go into management. Quote: “I feel like I have experienced a great deal of what NYL has offered and blessed to be a part of this company and the family we call the North Shore G.O. It’s time to touch even more individuals through developing new agents and letting them touch even more families. This company has given me the opportunity to do things for and with my family and realize how essential our work is”.

Justin studied Finance and Economics at the University of Illinois.  He grew up in Arthur, IL and moved to Chicago in 2003 after spending a year traveling the world.
  
Justin comes to New York Life management team after spending five years building a financial planning practice.  He really enjoyed working with his clients to achieve a broad range of financial goals and now he tries to instill this same passion in his agents.

Erica Takach
Erica was born and raised in Duncannon, Pennsylvania.  After being competitively involved in field hockey, she was offered a scholarship to Central Michigan University where she received her degree in Marketing and Biology.  Right after school, she moved to the beautiful city of Chicago and worked as an executive at Target. After seeking a career change, she started as an agent for New York Life in December of 2006.

Milton Brown
Milton is a native of Chicago, where he attended DePaul University on a Track & Field scholarship. He attained his Masters of Business Administration in Financial Planning from Saint Xavier University.  Milton lives in North Kenwood (Chicago) with his wife Sheila and three children, Milton III, Brea’ and Malik.
 
After spending 3 years in the financial services industry as an independent broker, Milton really appreciates the commitment to agent development and support offered by New York Life.  Being a former collegiate athlete, he also enjoys the team environment that is present in the Illinois G.O.
